Our Founder, Todd Buchman and his Wife Dr. Lauren Buchman, Owner and Operator of Captain Filtration
Todd’s story began many years ago at his home in Maryland which had hard, iron-filled water. He was frustrated trying to find a company that could solve his water problems. It seemed that every company he called did not fully understand the problem, yet still proposed that he purchase a water treatment system. He installed several systems, none of which solved his water quality issues.
Todd, determined to fix this problem, immediately became a member of the Water Quality Association and got certified in 1997 as a Certified Water Specialist, Certified Installer, Certified Service Tech and a Certified Sales Representative. He was determined to learn everything about water chemistry and proper treatment methods to resolve his water quality issues.
Today, Todd has over 28 years of experience, knowledge, and a passion for healthy living. He takes great pride in providing clean water and air. He continuously strives to be the absolute best in water filtration with the most competitive prices, outstanding products, and stellar customer service.
Dr. Lauren started her career as a Chiropractic Physician. She’s always had a passion for helping people. Ten years ago she was at a crossroads and decided to re-career.
In the process, she met Todd, who passionately spoke about how better water improves health. Although she already knew this, the light bulb went on when she and Todd attended the National Water Quality Convention, where she caught ‘the water bug,’ as it’s called in the industry.
Over the past two years, she has gained hands-on experience in water treatment through an apprenticeship and classes, earning her Certified Water Specialist, Certified Sales Representative, and Certified Service Tech awards.
Lauren’s passion for others carries through in her knowledge and excitement for educating Captain Filtration’s customers about how to choose the right water system for their needs.
